Furthermore, while front-wheel drive is standard on both vehicles, only the A4 offers Audi's legendary Quattro all-wheel drive as an option.
• Efficiency: Despite their similar performance numbers, the A4 is more fuel efficient. It finds its motivation in a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder power plant that achieves EPA-estimated fuel economy ratings of 25 mpg city, 33 mpg highway, and 28 mpg combined. The ES 350's engine is comparatively thirstier, with ratings of 21 mpg city, 30 mpg highway, and 24 mpg combined.
